Tanner Deblois kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Lou Westbrook sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and McKague's Santo Butcher didn't even have to move. A hard shot 56 in the game by Mitchel Smith from a close distance when the talented Santo Butcher managed to make a qualified save. McKague's players were relieved. Brancepeth AFC's Otha Braden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Davenport in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Atwood in the 62nd minute of play forced Brancepeth AFC's goalkeeper Otha Braden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mitchel Smith could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Santo Butcher made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Brancepeth AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Davenport came free, but Otha Braden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Davenport in the 72nd minute of play forced Brancepeth AFC's goalkeeper Otha Braden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, McKague's Leon Davenport sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otha Braden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Brancepeth AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otha Braden should have stopped the shot.
