When Roderick Vincent fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maryfield AFC's protests and gave Roderick Vincent a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maryfield AFC! Elbert Allain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Bateman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vincent Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Elbert Allain elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Eloy Bateman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alma AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Bateman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincent Velazquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elbert Allain who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Vincent Velazquez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Maryfield AFC's Benito Parrish got a free kick in the 39th minute. Eloy Bateman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Velazquez having to interfere. Vincent Velazquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elbert Allain in the 45th minute. Vincent Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Bateman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elbert Allain struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Vincent Velazquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alma AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eloy Bateman to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlton Griggs kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rickie Snider got free with Stan Clayton in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th match minute, Alma AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esmé Jarvis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Alma AFC booed when Maryfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickie Gregoire didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Eloy Bateman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vincent Velazquez. Maryfield AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eloy Bateman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Elbert Allain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Velazquez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Alma AFC had played much better football throughout.
