Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jérémie Newman kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Broadlands AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Long came free, but Shaun Rhodes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Hernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shaun Rhodes having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Javier Hernandez could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Shaun Rhodes however easily saved by the left post. Shaun Rhodes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kurtis Couture. If Jérémie Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Broadlands AFC's Shaun Rhodes got control of the ball when Javier Hernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Broadlands AFC's Randolph Howard got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Jérémie Newman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shaun Rhodes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hershel Toth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Shon Gant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvis Herndon kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Hershel Toth came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Broadlands AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hershel Toth couldn't finish the play. Javier Hernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Shaun Rhodes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hershel Toth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shon Gant having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Eustache Loomis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shon Gant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hershel Toth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jérémie Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hershel Toth in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shon Gant saved Bedford FC from getting behind. After 64 minutes of play, Bedford FC's Jérémie Newman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shaun Rhodes was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Hernandez in the 71st minute of play forced Broadlands AFC's goalkeeper Shaun Rhodes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Javier Hernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jérémie Newman struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Shaun Rhodes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bedford FC. In the 78th minute Javier Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shaun Rhodes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bedford FC's Mason David got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Bedford FC's goalkeeper Shon Gant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustache Loomis. Bedford FC's Javier Hernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute Hershel Toth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shon Gant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustache Loomiss short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Shon Gant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bedford FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Broadlands AFC for a fine match.
