Spectators: 6755 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 0) Yale's Milton Abraham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes, Gowganda's Frances Courcelle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elwood Lamour came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gowganda reached it. Herbert Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Abraham in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gowganda's zone, Huey Snider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Moreno came out of the goal and Huey Snider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Huey Snider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Abraham in the 14th minute of play forced Gowganda's goalkeeper Herbert Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Milton Abraham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Huey Snider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herbert Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Milton Abraham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Newsome charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Newsome the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Gowganda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Newsome to maneuver through the defense. If Huey Snider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milton Abraham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Moreno having to interfere. Huey Snider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lawrence Atkins charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lawrence Atkins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Yale's Lawrence Atkins got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gowganda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Genaro Newsome in the 40th minute. The corner led Gowganda's Danilo Deniger to fire away a dangerous shot which Elwood Lamour despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Herbert Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Abraham in the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrice Demers to make the kick off. Valentin Mazuret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elwood Lamour having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrice Demers in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elwood Lamour saved Yale from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Fabrice Demers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elwood Lamour was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After 66 minutes, Coy Marks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yale and the Gowganda players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yale fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Milton Abraham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Moreno having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Yale's Huey Snider sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Moreno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gowganda's Denis Rodriguez got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Yale's Huey Snider in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gowganda's goalie prevented a goal. Milton Abraham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Herbert Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Yale's Milton Abraham in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gowganda's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Fabrice Demers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elwood Lamour was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Valentin Mazuret ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elwood Lamour was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
