The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rickie Snider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Broadlands AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Randolph Howard hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Rickie Snider suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 9 minutes, Perry Cates mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Broadlands AFC and the Maryfield AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Broadlands AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! 0-1 came in the 11th minute when Adolfo Cates all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Shaun Rhodes. Eustache Loomis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Velazquez having to interfere. If Hershel Toth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vincent Velazquez made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Eustache Loomis sent off a good shot on target. Hershel Toth struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Vincent Velazquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broadlands AFC. Benito Parrish charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Parrish the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Maryfield AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Benito Parrish hit a great ball. Vincent Velazquez had great luck who in the 36thth minute grab hold of the ball when Hershel Toth from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Hershel Toth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustache Loomis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Velazquez having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Broadlands AFC's Eustache Loomis got a free kick in the 44th minute. Vincent Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hershel Toth, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Broadlands AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maryfield AFC were winning 0-1.

In the 51stth minute of the game Hershel Toth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maryfield AFC's Vincent Velazquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Maryfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hershel Toth came free, but Vincent Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustache Loomis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hershel Toth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Maryfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eustache Loomis came free, but Vincent Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes, Broadlands AFC's Randolph Howard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vincent Velazquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Broadlands AFC reached it. Jarrett Locke hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Hershel Toth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Vincent Velazquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Hershel Toth made a precise shot to the right of Vincent Velazquez. Maryfield AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Maryfield AFC's zone, Hershel Toth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent Velazquez came out of the goal and Hershel Toth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vincent Velazquez came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Broadlands AFC's Eustache Loomis. But to his dismay, Eustache Loomis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maryfield AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Broadlands AFC.
