Stan Clayton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérémie Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javier Hernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Stan Clayton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elbert Allain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Eloy Bateman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alma AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Bateman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shon Gant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 27 minutes, Jérémie Newman made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alma AFC's Stan Clayton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jérémie Newman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Jérémie Newman put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Stan Clayton. Jérémie Newman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stan Clayton having to make a save. Shon Gant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elbert Allain in the 40th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Bedford FC's goalkeeper Shon Gant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elbert Allain. After the first half Bedford FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eloy Bateman to strike the kick off in the second half. Javier Hernandez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Stan Clayton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eloy Bateman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Bedford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alma AFC the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bedford FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
