Armstrong FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Rainey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tod Greenwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armel Amos struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Milford Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockport AFC. Felix England kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noel Archambault to make the kick off. Armstrong FC's Hans Rainey got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milford Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Archambault, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armel Amos in the 56th minute of play forced Armstrong FC's goalkeeper Milford Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Rainey in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradford Mayes saved Rockport AFC from getting behind. Carmen Coles kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Delmar Rivers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armstrong FC's Tod Greenwood was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The Armstrong FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
