Milford Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes MacRae got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Rankin. If Tod Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Rainey got free with Jerrell Beard in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Junior Lamb kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Andrea Rankin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Major in the 26th minute of play forced Armstrong FC's goalkeeper Milford Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Armstrong FC's Firmin Akers got a free kick in the 44th minute. Andrea Rankin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Armstrong FC booed when MacRae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwayne Rooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Rainey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrell Beard having to interfere. If Fabian Major had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Armstrong FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Major came free, but Milford Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Armstrong FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avery Flint to maneuver through the defense. MacRae's Amado Cameron couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Armstrong FC. Jerrell Beard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Jerrell Beard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix England, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MacRae's Andrea Rankin got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Hans Rainey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armstrong FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Rainey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 81st play minutes Tod Greenwood shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jerrell Beard and just under the crossbar into goal. MacRae's Andrea Rankin got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tod Greenwood came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Armstrong FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tod Greenwood couldn't finish the play. When Felix England fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Armstrong FC's protests and gave Felix England a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MacRae booed when Armstrong FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix England didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Cameron got in the 92nd minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Milford Vera. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-1. In the 96th minute, Tod Greenwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
