Spectators: 6744 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Corin Rudolph started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corin Rudolph in the 9th minute of play forced Edmonton's goalkeeper Linwood Melanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barich's Carl Jackson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Staley in the 19th minute of play. Carl Jackson came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Edmonton's Jack Staley. But to his dismay, Jack Staley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Carl Jackson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Sinclair in the 23rd minute of play. When Henri Vertefeuille fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barich's protests and gave Henri Vertefeuille a yellow card for diving instead. Loup Osborne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Jackson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Hawk's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Edmonton's goal looked a bit too open when Corin Rudolph came free, but Linwood Melanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Hawk to make the kick off. Jack Staley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Carl Jackson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Edmonton's goal looked a bit too open when Corin Rudolph came free, but Linwood Melanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Jackson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Hawk in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Edmonton booed when Barich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luigi Vann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Jack Staley made a precise shot to the right of Carl Jackson. Barich's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Royal McGhee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Linwood Melanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linwood Melanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loup Osborne in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Henry Hawk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carl Jackson. The goal made the score 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Staley in the 95th minute of play forced Barich's goalkeeper Carl Jackson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Barich getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Luigi Vann hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barich's zone, Jack Staley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Jackson came out of the goal and Jack Staley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmonton played a much better game than Barich and deserved their victory. The Barich players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
