Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Grady Dominguez got the match started through his kick off. In the 4thth minute of the game Henry Hawk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hutton's Tod Arsenault was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jesus Langlais struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Tod Arsenault didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edmonton. Gaston Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Tod Arsenault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Hawk in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grady Dominguez in the 20th minute of play forced Edmonton's goalkeeper Linwood Melanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linwood Melanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grady Dominguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Henry Hawk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hutton's Tod Arsenault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Staley in the 30th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Edmonton's Tod Arsenault threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jack Staley, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 33rd match minute, Edmonton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clarence Rosales to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Edmonton's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Albrecht came free, but Linwood Melanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmonton's Linwood Melanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Albrecht in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute Andrea Albrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linwood Melanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grady Dominguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Linwood Melanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Hawk to make the kick off. Henry Hawk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Arsenault having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hutton's zone, Henry Hawk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Arsenault came out of the goal and Henry Hawk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tod Arsenault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Staley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Hawk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Hutton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chet Brantley to maneuver through the defense. Jack Staley hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Wayne Youngblood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tod Arsenault tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Hutton got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Baker. 75 minutes into the match, Hutton's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Staley came free, but Tod Arsenault reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Hutton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecil Andrade to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Andrea Albrecht notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Edmonton's Linwood Melanson. Linwood Melanson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Edmonton booed when Hutton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grady Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edmonton's Henry Hawk in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hutton's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Hawk in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tod Arsenault prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmonton walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
