Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Theo Sevier started the match with the kick off. Jay Pouliotte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Poulin in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Furness's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Sevier came free, but Jay Pouliotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Onefour was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Errol Auclair to maneuver through the defense. Millard Swenson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Garret D'AoustDaoust didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Furness. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Millard Swenson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Furness's supporters rose to their feet, but Millard Swenson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garret D'AoustDaoust breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Orlando Kimball came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Furness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Kimball couldn't finish the play. Norberto Poulin in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jay Pouliotte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Theo Sevier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Pouliotte having to interfere. Theo Sevier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Pouliotte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Garret D'AoustDaoust didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Kimball went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Guillermo Bynum's late challenge caught a Furness's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Bynum helped the player get up and apologised. Orlando Kimball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Millard Swenson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Kimball received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Garret D'AoustDaoust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Onefour got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Booker. After a defensive mix-up in Onefour's zone, Millard Swenson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garret D'AoustDaoust came out of the goal and Millard Swenson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Furness getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Tristan Rice hit a great ball. Theo Sevier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Pouliotte having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Furness! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Millard Swenson to strike the kick off in the second half. Jay Pouliotte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norberto Poulin went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 60th minute, Orlando Kimball got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basil Garnier hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Orlando Kimball received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Garret D'AoustDaoust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Kimball who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Garret D'AoustDaoust when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Orlando Kimball fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garret D'AoustDaoust having to interfere. Millard Swenson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Theo Sevier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Pouliotte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Furness's Orlando Kimball nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garret D'AoustDaoust made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Furness eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
