Lynn Akers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hobert Glover struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Lynn Akers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paris-Saint-Germain. After a defensive mix-up in Burgis FC's zone, Trevor Fitzgerald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lynn Akers came out of the goal and Trevor Fitzgerald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hobert Glover got free with Lynn Akers in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trevor Fitzgerald struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Lynn Akers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paris-Saint-Germain. In the 22nd minute Hobert Glover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lynn Akers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louis Mahoney took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bryan Manley. Bryan Manley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Gonzalo Griffin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lynn Akers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hobert Glover went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Burgis FC's zone, Hobert Glover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lynn Akers came out of the goal and Hobert Glover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerome Jodion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynn Akers having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Hobert Glover might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lynn Akers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hobert Glover ran back to his position shaking his head. Lynn Akers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hobert Glover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louis Mahoney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Manley having to interfere. Neal Goldman scored 2-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryan Manley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Derrick Cassidy threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paris-Saint-Germain's Rashad Huffman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lynn Akers came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Paris-Saint-Germain's Jerome Jodion. But to his dismay, Jerome Jodion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 87th match minute, Paris-Saint-Germain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Webb to maneuver through the defense. Paris-Saint-Germain's Bryan Manley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Mahoney in the 90th minute of play. Robert Moon's late challenge caught a Burgis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Moon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Paris-Saint-Germain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Moon to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paris-Saint-Germain had played much better football throughout.
