Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Henry Hawk made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Burgis FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Neal Goldman hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Hawk in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lynn Akers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Langlais in the 9th minute of play forced Burgis FC's goalkeeper Lynn Akers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lynn Akers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Hawk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Burgis FC's Neal Goldman got a free kick in the 17th minute. Henry Hawk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lynn Akers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Rodger Person recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmonton's Rodger Person got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jack Staley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lynn Akers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Henry Hawk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Hawk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lynn Akers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Burgis FC's zone, Henry Hawk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lynn Akers came out of the goal and Henry Hawk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Louis Mahoney was the one to do the kick off. Henry Hawk's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Lynn Akers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Henry Hawk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynn Akers having to interfere. In the 53rd match minute, Burgis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derrick Cassidy to maneuver through the defense. Henry Hawk had several of the Burgis FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Lynn Akers as he didn't even see the shot coming. Louis Mahoney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis Mahoney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Linwood Melanson having to interfere. Henry Hawks short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Lynn Akers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Burgis FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jack Staley was slow to take the kick. During this time Edmonton's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Burgis FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Damien Bradshaw hit a great ball. Lynn Akers was a little too slow when Henry Hawk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-3. 78 minutes into the match, Jack Staley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lynn Akers, 0-4. When Edmonton's Henry Hawk in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Burgis FC's goalie prevented a goal. Lynn Akers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Staley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Hawk in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lynn Akers saved Burgis FC from getting behind. Lynn Akers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Hawk's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 94th minute, Henry Hawk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jesus Langlais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Edmonton left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Burgis FC.
