Tod Arsenault made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Mahoney in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, Hutton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chet Brantley to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hutton's Gaston Gonzalez got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Lester Fontenot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Hutton got a freekick which was hit by Chet Brantley. 25 minutes into the game, Damien Bradshaw cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tod Arsenault was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Burgis FC's Lynn Akers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Albrecht in the 28th minute of play. Lynn Akers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grady Dominguez in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Alphonse Ambrose sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lynn Akers skillfully saved the ball. Grady Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynn Akers having to interfere. If Andrea Albrecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Hutton's goalkeeper Tod Arsenault had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damien Bradshaw. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Louis Mahoney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Andrea Albrecht got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Burgis FC's Lynn Akers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grady Dominguez in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hutton's zone, Damien Bradshaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Arsenault came out of the goal and Damien Bradshaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Louis Mahoney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Arsenault saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Grady Dominguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burgis FC's Lynn Akers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lynn Akers was a little too slow when Grady Dominguez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-1. Hutton's Tod Arsenault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Bradshaw in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Hutton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Baker to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Goldman in the 77th minute of play forced Hutton's goalkeeper Tod Arsenault to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Louis Mahoney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Arsenault having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Damien Bradshaw ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tod Arsenault was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 85th minute, Andrea Albrecht made a precise shot to the right of Lynn Akers. Burgis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Burgis FC's Lynn Akers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grady Dominguez in the 90th minute of play. Damien Bradshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Burgis FC a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miguel Putnam, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hutton's Tod Arsenault. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hutton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Burgis FC.
