Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Henry Hawk took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Millard Swenson in the 3rd minute of play forced Edmonton's goalkeeper Linwood Melanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Célestin Lindsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Furness's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edmonton the free kick. The supporters of Edmonton booed when Furness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célestin Lindsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Hawk in the 5th minute of play forced Furness's goalkeeper Jay Pouliotte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Staley in the 12th minute of play forced Furness's goalkeeper Jay Pouliotte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Edmonton's Henry Hawk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jay Pouliotte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Edmonton booed when Furness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Millard Swenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner ended in Henry Hawk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Furness's Jay Pouliotte did a great save. Henry Hawk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Edmonton getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jesus Langlais hit a great ball. Linwood Melanson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Kimball, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Hawk got free with Jay Pouliotte in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Furness defense, Henry Hawk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jay Pouliotte. The Furness fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jay Pouliotte should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 47 in the game by Henry Hawk from a close distance when the talented Jay Pouliotte managed to make a qualified save. Furness's players were relieved. Linwood Melanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Kimball in the 48th minute of the match.
After 52 played minutes Furness got a freekick which was hit by Everett Regan. After 54 minutes of play, Edmonton's Henry Hawk made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jay Pouliotte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jay Pouliotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Langlais in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Millard Swenson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linwood Melanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jay Pouliotte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Hawk's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute of the match, Millard Swenson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Linwood Melanson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 69th minute of the match Furness got a corner. Edmonton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Everett Regan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Furness's Everett Regan to fire away a dangerous shot which Linwood Melanson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute, Henry Hawk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Edmonton's Toby Lackey got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Edmonton's Linwood Melanson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Edmonton from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Orlando Kimball got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Furness's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Hawk came free, but Jay Pouliotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Edmonton booed when Furness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everett Regan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
