Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pascal Spaulding made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Brendan Newcomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Pascal Spaulding put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abraham McDaniel. When Kent Mata came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Amulet AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Mata couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Newmarket booed when Amulet AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odell Lyons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baudouin Jean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abraham McDaniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascal Spaulding's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. A collision led to Amulet AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Odell Lyons hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Amulet AFC's zone, Baudouin Jean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham McDaniel came out of the goal and Baudouin Jean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 played minutes Amulet AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Asselin. Abraham McDaniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascal Spaulding's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Hong Bolden kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Newmarket's Buck Alvarez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Newmarket from getting a goal against them. Kent Mata struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Buck Alvarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amulet AFC.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ted Booker to strike the kick off in the second half. Baudouin Jean took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abraham McDaniel. Abraham McDaniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 55th minute, Dante Fontenot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Amulet AFC's Ted Booker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Buck Alvarez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Newmarket got a freekick which was hit by Cruz Bruno. Célestin McCoy kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Abraham McDaniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Spaulding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Pascal Spaulding fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abraham McDaniel, passed just outside the right post. Baudouin Jean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Buck Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Pascal Spaulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Newmarket supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newmarket would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
