Liu Zheng started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Korey Crisp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Engineer FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victoria Wolves the free kick. After 3 played minutes Engineer FC got a freekick which was hit by Korey Crisp. In the 6th minute, Rene Roach made a precise shot to the right of Antione Laliberté. Engineer FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Engineer FC's goalkeeper Antione Laliberté had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludovic Pavot. Brock Parmentier took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orval Rubin. Orval Rubin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 16th minute, Rene Roach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liu Zheng might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antione Laliberté. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liu Zheng ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Engineer FC's goalkeeper Antione Laliberté had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liu Zheng. After a rather tough play, Engineer FC's Fabrice Romero got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ludovic Pavot's late challenge caught a Engineer FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ludovic Pavot helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Victoria Wolves got a freekick which was hit by Ludovic Pavot. The supporters of Engineer FC booed when Victoria Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warner Grier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antione Laliberté took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Wenerdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Engineer FC's Antione Laliberté played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feng Sang Bing in the 28th minute of play. Hiram Maynard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orval Rubin having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Liu Zheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Engineer FC's Antione Laliberté was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Quinton Hinson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antione Laliberté. Engineer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quinton Hinson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Brock Parmentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brock Parmentier to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Liu Zheng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antione Laliberté. Engineer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liu Zheng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Ludovic Pavot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antione Laliberté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feng Sang Bing in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Eric Wenerdahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antione Laliberté was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Engineer FC! 68 minutes into the match, Liu Zheng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antione Laliberté. Engineer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liu Zheng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. In the 72nd minute Brock Parmentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orval Rubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match, Jess Allred got a very nice opportunity to score, but Orval Rubin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Antione Laliberté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Roach in the 75th minute of play. Gordon Baron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antione Laliberté. Engineer FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 78th minute Rene Roach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antione Laliberté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jess Allred took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orval Rubin. Orval Rubin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Victoria Wolves's Bobbie Dobson was substituted for Ludovic Pavot. The audience was convinced that Liu Zheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antione Laliberté was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 87th minute of the match Warner Grier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antione Laliberté skillfully saved the ball. Fabrice Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, one of Engineer FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Victoria Wolves's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eric Wenerdahl in the 97th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Feng Sang Bing got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 8-2. 97 minutes into the match. Rene Roach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antione Laliberté read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 101st minute of play.
