Elisha Norris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marlin Rouse scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paschal Parmentier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barnabé Burns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elisha Norris having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Marlin Rouse came free, but Paschal Parmentier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chignecto FC's Elisha Norris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Chignecto FC from getting a goal against them. Elisha Norris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnabé Burns in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 53 played minutes, Richmond's Noah Reilly shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elisha Norris came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Richmond reached it. Elisha Norris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cruz Boucher, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Omar Dostie fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chignecto FC's protests and gave Omar Dostie a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Chignecto FC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Dostie. Cruz Boucher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Elisha Norris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Chignecto FC booed when Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odell Aubé didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 76th minute of the match Omar Dostie completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Omar Dostie a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Chignecto FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Omar Dostie hit a great ball. If Irvin Penn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Barrett Platt fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Barrett Platt hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Marlin Rouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chignecto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marlin Rouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paschal Parmentier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cruz Boucher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
