After having played for 2 minutes, Daryl Zapata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imagine Dragon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daryl Zapata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walton Gage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Parmentier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Hiram Maynard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engineer FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 24 minutes, Paschal Kraft mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imagine Dragon FC and the Engineer FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Imagine Dragon FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Paschal Kraft hit a great ball. Walton Gage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brock Parmentier's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hiram Maynard in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walton Gage prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brock Parmentier might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walton Gage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brock Parmentier ran back to his position shaking his head. Engineer FC's Hiram Maynard got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brock Parmentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jess Allred came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Engineer FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jess Allred couldn't finish the play. Engineer FC's Hiram Maynard got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daryl Zapata to make the kick off. Imagine Dragon FC's Walton Gage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brock Parmentier in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Hiram Maynard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walton Gage. Imagine Dragon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hiram Maynard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Antione Laliberté showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germain Stringer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Brock Parmentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walton Gage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brock Parmentier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walton Gage having to make a save. In the 72nd minute Germain Stringer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antione Laliberté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Brock Parmentier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brock Parmentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brock Parmentier in the 82nd minute of play forced Imagine Dragon FC's goalkeeper Walton Gage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antione Laliberté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daryl Zapata in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modestine Lajeunesse during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Modestine Lajeunesse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
