Clark Hobbs hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Eric Wenerdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Thurman having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Ashern AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Feng Sang Bing came free, but Patrick Thurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liu Zheng might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Thurman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liu Zheng ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Victoria Wolves booed when Ashern AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Wilkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Victoria Wolves's Ludovic Pavot got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Liu Zheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Liu Zheng fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Patrick Thurman. In the 23rd minute, Gordon Baron fired a really elegant long shot, but Patrick Thurman threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Rod Phillips managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ashern AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rod Phillips was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rene Roach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Thurman having to interfere. Orval Rubin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rod Phillips went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th match minute, Victoria Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feng Sang Bing to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Victoria Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Reilly came free, but Orval Rubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod Phillips in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orval Rubin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Feng Sang Bing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Thurman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rene Roach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Patrick Thurman made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liu Zheng was the one to do the kick off. Liu Zheng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Patrick Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liu Zheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Thurman having to interfere. Gordon Baron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patrick Thurman. Ashern AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patrick Thurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Roach in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Ashern AFC's Forest Starks ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Orval Rubin. Orval Rubin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 61st minute, Rod Phillips got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victoria Wolves's Feng Sang Bing got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Thurman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liu Zheng's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Alphonse Lamb hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Liu Zheng struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Patrick Thurman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victoria Wolves. 72 minutes into the match, Ashern AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Roach came free, but Patrick Thurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Wenerdahl in the 74th minute of play forced Ashern AFC's goalkeeper Patrick Thurman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ashern AFC's Patrick Thurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinton Hinson in the 75th minute of play. Liu Zheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Thurman having to interfere. Patrick Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liu Zheng in the 83rd minute of play. Quinton Hinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Patrick Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Rene Roach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Thurman. Ashern AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Roach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 92nd minute Feng Sang Bing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Thurman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoria Wolves's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
