Porter Sumner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paschal Parmentier having to interfere. Paschal Parmentier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porter Sumner in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Barnabé Burns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cruz Boucher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Gilmour FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabé Burns came free, but Gus McGinnis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnabé Burns in the 38th minute of play forced Gilmour FC's goalkeeper Gus McGinnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Eustache Chu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Eustache Chu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Richmond's Paschal Parmentier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Gilmour FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabé Burns came free, but Gus McGinnis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paschal Parmentier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gilmour FC. After having played for 71 minutes, Cruz Boucher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Richmond's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cruz Boucher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
