Hiram Maynard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Brock Parmentier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 played minutes Chignecto FC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Allain. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Hiram Maynard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Engineer FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hiram Maynard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elisha Norris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chignecto FC's Elisha Norris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hiram Maynard in the 21st minute of play. Elisha Norris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Parmentier, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Chignecto FC's Marlin Rouse slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antione Laliberté. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. If Brock Parmentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes of play Chignecto FC's Anibal Allain was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 35th match minute, Chignecto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Allain to maneuver through the defense. Elisha Norris came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Engineer FC's Hiram Maynard. But to his dismay, Hiram Maynard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Elisha Norris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Parmentier in the 54th minute of the match. Irvin Penn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antione Laliberté having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Brock Parmentier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engineer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brock Parmentier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Irvin Penn struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Antione Laliberté didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chignecto FC. If Irvin Penn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elisha Norris came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Engineer FC's Hiram Maynard. But to his dismay, Hiram Maynard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 85 minutes into the match, Chignecto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brock Parmentier came free, but Elisha Norris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Brock Parmentier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engineer FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 93 played minutes Engineer FC got a freekick which was hit by Warner Hawk. In a very dangerous position, a player in Engineer FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Chignecto FC a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Willie Baum, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Engineer FC's Antione Laliberté. 2-4. The Engineer FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Engineer FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
