In the 16th minute Coleman Cross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orval Rubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florencio Dobbins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feng Sang Bing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Liu Zheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Dobbins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liu Zheng in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florencio Dobbins saved Lanigan AFC from getting behind. Quinton Hinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Florencio Dobbins made a huge save. Rene Roach struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Florencio Dobbins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victoria Wolves. Liu Zheng's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Florencio Dobbins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Lanigan AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rene Roach fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Liu Zheng in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Florencio Dobbins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Liu Zheng had several of the Lanigan AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Florencio Dobbins as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Eric Wenerdahl took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Florencio Dobbins to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Lanigan AFC booed when Victoria Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobbie Dobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Luther Dupree shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orval Rubin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Rhett Coates made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Liu Zheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Dobbins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Lanigan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terrell Parr to maneuver through the defense. Lanigan AFC's Florencio Dobbins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liu Zheng in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Bobbie Dobson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florencio Dobbins skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Liu Zheng put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Florencio Dobbins. If Rene Roach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Victoria Wolves's Quinton Hinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florencio Dobbins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Feng Sang Bing lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 81st match minute, Victoria Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feng Sang Bing to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Jules Gallegos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanigan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jules Gallegos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Liu Zheng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Florencio Dobbins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
