But to his dismay, Jonathon McFadden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jonathon McFadden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Benedict having to interfere. Jonathon McFadden took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Benedict. Anton Benedict dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Hollyburn's Edgard Zamora got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Aron Lacroix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pakan's Claude English was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hollyburn's zone, Jonathon McFadden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Benedict came out of the goal and Jonathon McFadden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aron Lacroix struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Claude English didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hollyburn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Lacroix in the 45th minute of play forced Pakan's goalkeeper Claude English to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
