The supporters of Hamilton FC booed when Neepawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Desaulniers didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Charles Fluet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Séverin Richter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd match minute, Hamilton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyd Pierce to maneuver through the defense. Isidore Cyr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Maynard Creech made a huge save. When Dion Mims fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hamilton FC's protests and gave Dion Mims a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Dion Mims hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Achille Yates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maynard Creech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Neepawa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hamilton FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyd Pierce was the one to do the kick off. Maynard Creech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidore Cyr in the 52nd minute of the match. Eldridge Mahoney hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Maynard Creech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Achille Yates's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. A collision led to Neepawa getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gerry Hansen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Charles Fluet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamilton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Fluet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Séverin Richter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute of the match Johnie English sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maynard Creech skillfully saved the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Georges Workman notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Hamilton FC's Maynard Creech. Maynard Creech was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th match minute, Neepawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olin Moss to maneuver through the defense. Bastien Bizier kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Isidore Cyr took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maynard Creech. Maynard Creech dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Neepawa had won after a very even match.
