Petewawa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maynard Creech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 minutes, Valentin Fuentes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petewawa FC and the Hamilton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Petewawa FC! When the match had been going on for 14 minutes, Hamilton FC's Mitchel Stringer got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Owen Prescott. After having played for 18 minutes, Irwin Rosales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petewawa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irwin Rosales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maynard Creech having to interfere. When Ambrose Larson fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petewawa FC's protests and gave Ambrose Larson a yellow card for diving instead. Mitchel Stringer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Irwin Rosales scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maynard Creech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Petewawa FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ismael Campos made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Hamilton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitchel Stringer to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute Boyd Pierce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Prescott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Owen Prescott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyd Pierce in the 59th minute of play. Owen Prescott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyd Pierce in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Valentin Fuentes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maynard Creech skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hamilton FC's zone, Irwin Rosales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maynard Creech came out of the goal and Irwin Rosales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the game, Petewawa FC's Irwin Rosales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maynard Creech made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Ismael Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maynard Creech having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kirk Hilton during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Hamilton FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Petewawa FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
