Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Achille Yates kicked off to start the match. Fonthill AFC's Irvin Shipp got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Neepawa's Achille Yates slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trinidad Torres. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Séverin Richter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Poulin in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Gerry Hansen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Poulin in the 14th minute of play forced Neepawa's goalkeeper Séverin Richter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fonthill AFC booed when Neepawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges Workman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pierre Poulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Singletary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Richter having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Georges Workman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neepawa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fonthill AFC the free kick. Georges Workman hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Achille Yates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Trinidad Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Achille Yates recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trinidad Torres. Achille Yates showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Arlie Tanner hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Achille Yates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Trinidad Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neepawa's Achille Yates got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A beautiful save bye Fonthill AFC's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Séverin Richter was a little too slow when Pierre Poulin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 3-1. Gerry Hansen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trinidad Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Séverin Richter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Poulin in the 63rd minute of the match. Séverin Richter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Singletary went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Séverin Richter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Poulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. César Singletary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neepawa's Séverin Richter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Neepawa from getting a goal against them. César Singletary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Richter having to interfere.
