Isidore Cyr struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Owen Prescott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neepawa. 12 minutes into the match, Neepawa's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Campos came free, but Séverin Richter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerry Hansen charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerry Hansen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the match, Petewawa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Yates came free, but Owen Prescott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes Petewawa FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Garland Becker who took care of the corner kick. Garland Becker made a great header on Neepawa's corner, it was just that Petewawa FC's Owen Prescott managed to reach the ball for a save. Séverin Richter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Campos in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute Ismael Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Séverin Richter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Petewawa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrose Larson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Neepawa's Séverin Richter got control of the ball when Irwin Rosales tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neepawa's Séverin Richter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Neepawa from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes Petewawa FC got a freekick which was hit by Auguste Bacon. Garland Becker was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Neepawa's Isidore Cyr got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Achille Yates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Prescott having to interfere. Ismael Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Richter having to interfere. In the 47th minute Achille Yates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Prescott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Achille Yates made the kick off in the second half. Ismael Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Richter having to interfere. After 54 minutes of play, Petewawa FC's Ismael Campos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Séverin Richter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Owen Prescott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Yates in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Neepawa's Achille Yates dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Achille Yates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Prescott having to interfere. Gerry Hansen hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Ismael Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petewawa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Séverin Richter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Achille Yates had several of the Petewawa FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Owen Prescott as he didn't even see the shot coming. Garland Becker was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes Petewawa FC got a freekick which was hit by Marquis Thivierge. Neepawa's Achille Yates got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Owen Prescott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Yates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Neepawa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
