Eli Otto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rodrigo Shultz got his second yellow card in the match during the 18th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dennis Brewer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grady Méthot's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Warren Bush got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Matador's Darwin Jacob dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Warren Bush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Davangus FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Wilson Lemons shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Walker Ogden kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Ellis Nelson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matador and the Davangus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Warren Bush was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Alphonso Petrie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Davangus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matador the free kick. In the 51st minute, Alphonso Petrie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Brewer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grady Méthot in the 56th minute of play. Rolf Matthews took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cesar Darden. Davangus FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Achille Benson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Matador's Wilson Lemons broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dennis Brewer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alphonso Petrie in the 90th minute.
