Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Steele AFC's Angel Worley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matt Mathis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryce Prather having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Myron Moran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steele AFC and the Thompson AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Steele AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myron Moran to maneuver through the defense. Bryce Prather made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien Moore in the 14th minute of play. When Thompson AFC's Lucien Moore in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steele AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Lucien Moore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, Thompson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Daniels to maneuver through the defense. Rodrick Chase was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Angel Worley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Matt Mathis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Lucien Moore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thompson AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucien Moore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryce Prather breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lucien Moore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steele AFC's Bryce Prather proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Steele AFC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucien Moore to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Angel Worley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joesph Swift, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ted Ivy got free with Joesph Swift in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bryce Prather showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Rodrick Chase, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ted Ivy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joesph Swift having to interfere. Joesph Swift took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Worley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joesph Swift showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Worley in the 72nd minute of the match. If Angel Worley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Thompson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Merle Connors came free, but Joesph Swift reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryce Prather showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Mathis in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Thompson AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Steele AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
