Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Ted Ivy got free with Joesph Swift in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bryce Prather showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thompson AFC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Steele AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Geoffroi Choi took the corner. A collision led to Steele AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ted Ivy hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Lucien Moore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bryce Prather. Steele AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucien Moore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Steele AFC's zone, Lucien Moore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryce Prather came out of the goal and Lucien Moore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Thompson AFC booed when Steele AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrick Chase didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geoffroi Choi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Thompson AFC's Matt Mathis in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steele AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Steele AFC's Bryce Prather played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Mathis in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Lucien Moore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryce Prather saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merle Connors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 50th minute Lucien Moore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryce Prather saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucien Moore to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Steele AFC's goalkeeper Bryce Prather had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matt Mathis. After 65 minutes, Antione Forbes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thompson AFC and the Steele AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Angel Worley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryce Prather made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien Moore in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Thompson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Mathis to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Ted Ivy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joesph Swift saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Ivy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Worley in the 97th minute of play forced Thompson AFC's goalkeeper Joesph Swift to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Thompson AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Thompson AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
