Lamar Ratté recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horace Lane kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Von Wilkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamar Ratté, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Renato Richter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Von Wilkinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. McLennan's Jackson Winslow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save McLennan from getting a goal against them. Drumbo's Harry Moran got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renato Richter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Richter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Von Wilkinson having to interfere. In the 30th minute Renato Richter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Von Wilkinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Von Wilkinson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lamar Ratté's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Lamar Ratté managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McLennan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lamar Ratté was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Drumbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horace Lane to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, one of Drumbo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave McLennan a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thomas Stephens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Drumbo's Von Wilkinson. 0-1. Graig Powell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Jackson Winslow made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Moran to strike the kick off in the second half. If Harry Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lamar Rattés short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Von Wilkinson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 64 played minutes, Drumbo's Kenny Coulter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jackson Winslow came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drumbo reached it. In the 64th match minute, McLennan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gérald Littlejohn to maneuver through the defense. If Harry Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lamar Ratté in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Von Wilkinson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Harry Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Drumbo booed when McLennan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gérald Littlejohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Harry Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drumbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jackson Winslow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jackson Winslow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graig Powell in the 93rd minute of play. Jackson Winslow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graig Powell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Graig Powell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jackson Winslow read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The McLennan players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Drumbo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
