Reuben Maheu's late challenge caught a Metabechuoan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reuben Maheu helped the player get up and apologised. Metabechuoan's Léon Oneil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for McLennan. After 24 played minutes Metabechuoan got a freekick which was hit by Brady Elmore. Lamar Ratté fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Reece having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Metabechuoan's goalkeeper Kim Reece had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lamar Ratté. After 31 played minutes Metabechuoan got a freekick which was hit by Brady Elmore. If Lamar Ratté had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lamar Ratté sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Richter in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kim Reece saved Metabechuoan from getting behind. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renato Richter made a kick off. Telesphore Engle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jackson Winslow having to interfere. Brady Elmore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jackson Winslow having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Metabechuoan's goal looked a bit too open when Lamar Ratté came free, but Kim Reece reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryant Jewell got free with Jackson Winslow in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josiah Geiger hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Telesphore Engle kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Ratté in the 76th minute of play forced Metabechuoan's goalkeeper Kim Reece to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim Reece showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Richter in the 77th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Lamar Ratté's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Reece was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
