Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Luther Bird made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 6 minutes, Hipolito Jean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitbourne FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Jean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chapleau AFC's Ronald Lejeune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Jean in the 16th minute of play. When Whitbourne FC's Hipolito Jean in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Chapleau AFC's Jerrell Jackson got a free kick in the 20th minute. Scotty Caron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leslie Dennis having to interfere. If Roland Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Jean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Whitbourne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Powell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Lejeune breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Chapleau AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Powell came free, but Ronald Lejeune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Powell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Lejeune having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hipolito Jean to make the kick off. Lyle Robillard hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Chapleau AFC's Scotty Caron managed to work through Whitbourne FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Scotty Caron dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scotty Caron in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leslie Dennis saved Whitbourne FC from getting behind. Leslie Dennis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luther Bird in the 59th minute of play. Ronald Lejeune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Jean in the 63rd minute of play. If Roland Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roland Powell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ronald Lejeune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Whitbourne FC's Leslie Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luther Bird in the 72nd minute of play. Leslie Dennis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scotty Caron in the 77th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Roland Powell could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Ronald Lejeune however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Jean in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Lejeune prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute, Hipolito Jean fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Luther Bird had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luther Bird in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leslie Dennis saved Whitbourne FC from getting behind. Leslie Dennis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luther Bird in the 93rd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Chapleau AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luther Bird.
