After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Theron Richer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charlemagne's supporters rose to their feet, but Theron Richer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leslie Dennis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erich Whitehead sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Charlemagne's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Jean came free, but Paris Haas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theron Richer in the 15th minute of play forced Whitbourne FC's goalkeeper Leslie Dennis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Granville Drew kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Roland Powell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlemagne's Paris Haas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Charlemagne from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Charlemagne's zone, Roland Powell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paris Haas came out of the goal and Roland Powell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theron Richer might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leslie Dennis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Theron Richer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute Theron Richer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leslie Dennis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Hipolito Jean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitbourne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipolito Jean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paris Haas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roland Powell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Haas having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Hipolito Jean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paris Haas. Hipolito Jean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 44 played minutes Whitbourne FC got a freekick which was hit by Larry Ramsey.

Leslie Dennis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erich Whitehead, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Whitbourne FC's goalkeeper Leslie Dennis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theron Richer. Theron Richer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Leslie Dennis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hipolito Jean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paris Haas was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Paris Haas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hipolito Jean went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Lyle Robillard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Charlemagne players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
