Spectators: 6713 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) Elliot Clavet started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Elliot Clavet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Lejeune having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Thamesville's Elliot Clavet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Lejeune narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thamesville's Barry Laux suffered a concussion in the 10th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerrell Jackson during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chapleau AFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jerrell Jackson hit a great ball. If Claud Godin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claud Godin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ronald Lejeune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Thamesville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earle Childers to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scotty Caron in the 23rd minute of play forced Thamesville's goalkeeper Bryant Anderson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chapleau AFC's Luther Bird got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scotty Caron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luther Bird fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Anderson having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luther Bird to strike the kick off in the second half. Luther Bird struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Bryant Anderson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapleau AFC. Bryant Anderson came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Chapleau AFC's Scotty Caron. But to his dismay, Scotty Caron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bryant Anderson made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Scotty Caron sent off a good shot on target. The attack was good, but when Claud Godin in the 69th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Claud Godin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thamesville's Claud Godin got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Thamesville's Claud Godin in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chapleau AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Elliot Clavet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ronald Lejeune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luther Bird recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bryant Anderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luther Bird in the 87th minute of the match. Luther Bird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luther Bird came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Chapleau AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luther Bird couldn't finish the play. The Chapleau AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chapleau AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
