Absolon Bergeron's late challenge caught a Kangerthialuksoak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Absolon Bergeron helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kangerthialuksoak booed when Verona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Britton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arden Monroe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanton Beard came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Kangerthialuksoak's Albert Reeves. But to his dismay, Albert Reeves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arden Monroe didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Verona's Martin Britton shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 20th match minute, Verona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Loyd to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Verona's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Brandt came free, but Stanton Beard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Meza hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guy Brandt in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanton Beard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Rush got free with Arden Monroe in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin Britton struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Arden Monroe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verona. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shawn Kilgore during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Martin Britton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Martin Britton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arden Monroe was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Kent Rush's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arden Monroe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Kangerthialuksoak's Arden Monroe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Britton in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Martin Britton made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Verona's goalkeeper Stanton Beard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guy Brandt. In the 60th minute Albert Reeves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arden Monroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Rush, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Verona had won after a very even match.
