Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Herbert Salinas got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute Theirn Dougherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paris Desilets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chipman's Marcel Gardner got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 11 played minutes Adolph Garreau shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Chipman's Paris Desilets to catch but Adolph Garreau was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Benjamin Shearer put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Billy McCloud. A collision led to Chipman getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lorenzo Wallace hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Michale Grove ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paris Desilets was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Billy McCloud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Salinas in the 30th minute of play. Petrolia AFC's Billy McCloud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Salinas in the 34th minute of play. Michale Grove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michale Grove recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After a rather tough play, Chipman's Leonard McCracken got a free kick in the 51st minute. The Petrolia AFC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Petrolia AFC's Michale Grove looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58th minute, Michale Grove left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petrolia AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. 77 minutes into the match, Chipman's goal looked a bit too open when Michale Grove came free, but Paris Desilets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theirn Dougherty in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paris Desilets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Theirn Dougherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Herbert Salinas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Billy McCloud. Petrolia AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herbert Salinas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Herbert Salinas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Shearer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Thibault's late challenge caught a Chipman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Thibault helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Petrolia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Michael Thibault. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Benjamin Shearer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chipman's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Shearer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy McCloud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petrolia AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
