Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Martin Britton got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Skiff's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Britton came free, but Tod Yost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Verona's Absolon Bergeron shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tod Yost but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Verona's zone, Booker Rubio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanton Beard came out of the goal and Booker Rubio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pablo Loyd kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Booker Rubio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Absolon Bergeron put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Verona:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Skiff:s goal. Booker Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Stanton Beard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Martin Page had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanton Beard. Verona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Page was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rene Bray kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Martin Page had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Booker Rubio struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Stanton Beard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skiff. The audience was convinced that Martin Page's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanton Beard was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Verona's goalkeeper Stanton Beard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Martin Page got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Martin Page had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Booker Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Booker Rubio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Stanton Beard skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Stanton Beard made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Booker Rubio sent off a good shot on target. Skiff's Tod Yost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Rush in the 84th minute of play. A hard shot 88 in the game by Booker Rubio from a close distance when the talented Stanton Beard managed to make a qualified save. Verona's players were relieved. 90 minutes into the match, Verona's goalkeeper Stanton Beard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Booker Rubio. Kent Rush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Verona supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Skiff's performance. The match ended with a win for Skiff.
