In the 10th minute, Ryan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13thth minute of the game Theirn Dougherty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bickerdike AFC's Freeman Larivière was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Petrolia AFC's Adolph Garreau to fire away a dangerous shot which Freeman Larivière despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Petrolia AFC's Adolph Garreau broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Michale Grove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrolia AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Basile Christian scored to the left of an out of position Billy McCloud, making the score, 1-0. Bickerdike AFC's Karl Fréchette got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lothaire Dominguez's late challenge caught a Petrolia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lothaire Dominguez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bickerdike AFC's Lothaire Dominguez got a free kick in the 31st minute. Freeman Larivière showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michale Grove in the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Fréchette to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Basile Christian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bickerdike AFC and the Petrolia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bickerdike AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Basile Christian hit a great ball. In the 53rd match minute, Petrolia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarrod Deal to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Petrolia AFC's goalkeeper Billy McCloud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Earle Wood in the 57th minute of play forced Petrolia AFC's goalkeeper Billy McCloud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michale Grove could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Freeman Larivière made a huge save. Michale Grove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Freeman Larivière tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bickerdike AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Theirn Dougherty scored to the left of an out of position Freeman Larivière, making the score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michale Grove got free with Freeman Larivière in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Petrolia AFC's goalkeeper Billy McCloud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Billy McCloud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Fréchette in the 80th minute of play. Bickerdike AFC's Freeman Larivière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theirn Dougherty in the 83rd minute of play. Karl Fréchette might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy McCloud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Fréchette ran back to his position shaking his head. After 87 minutes of play, Bickerdike AFC's Earle Wood made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billy McCloud was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bickerdike AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Petrolia AFC for a fine match.
