Booker Rubio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy McCloud having to interfere. Booker Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Billy McCloud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Skiff booed when Petrolia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37th play minutes Martin Page shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Billy McCloud and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 47th minute Booker Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy McCloud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Page to strike the kick off in the second half. Michael Thibault hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Ryan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petrolia AFC's protests and gave Ryan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Ryan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Michale Grove made a precise shot to the right of Tod Yost. Skiff's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Skiff's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
