After the first half Leclercville were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laverne Stevens to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Roch Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austin Simon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Laverne Stevens came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Cobourg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laverne Stevens couldn't finish the play. In the last second Clinton Stovall throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bobbie Jernigan in the 54thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Leclercville's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustave Spears in the 56th minute. After taking down the ball on Leclercville's corner Gustave Spears fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Clinton Stovall quite easily take care of the ball. Austin Simon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cobourg FC. Cobourg FC's Clinton Stovall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Cobourg FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Leclercville had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
