Willet's Hai Haskins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Willet from getting a goal against them. Ivan Norbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hai Haskins having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Willet's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Norbert came free, but Hai Haskins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ivugivik's zone, Damian Herrington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chase Rowe came out of the goal and Damian Herrington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chase Rowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Floyd Barker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chase Rowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Floyd Barker, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Floyd Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Norbert was the one to do the kick off. If Ivan Norbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Norbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute of the match Alfredo Giroux sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chase Rowe skillfully saved the ball. If Ivan Norbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Norbert in the 71st minute of play forced Willet's goalkeeper Hai Haskins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Willet defense, Ivan Norbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hai Haskins. The Willet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hai Haskins should have stopped the shot. Damian Herrington's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chase Rowe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Willet players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ivugivik.
