Adam Zimmer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Aimé Tidwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Austin Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Zimmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty McCord in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Russell Blount during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Russell Blount hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Todd Fluet was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, one of Woodlands F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 23 minutes in the game, Dewitt Jobin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Austin Simon having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Dewitt Jobin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Austin Simon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 29th minute, one of Woodlands F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Woodlands F.C. Adam Zimmer came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Leclercville's Monty McCord. But to his dismay, Monty McCord quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The supporters of Leclercville booed when Woodlands F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tracey Thomason didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Patrick Cash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Woodlands F.C made a substitution. Stanton Denton replaced Ernest Bériault. A collision led to Leclercville getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Patrick Cash hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewitt Jobin in the 47th minute of play forced Leclercville's goalkeeper Austin Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Woodlands F.C's Adam Coupart was substituted for Oren Barber. Woodlands F.C made a substitution. Jessie Arpin replaced Aimé Tidwell. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bobbie Jernigan to make the kick off. The throw-in from Georges Byrd in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Woodlands F.C's Willie Marcum. Austin Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewitt Jobin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Dewitt Jobin sped through Leclercville's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Austin Simon. 58 minutes into the game, Jessie Arpin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodlands F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leclercville the free kick. After a rather tough play, Woodlands F.C's Jessie Arpin got a free kick in the 58th minute. Dewitt Jobin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Woodlands F.C's Dewitt Jobin got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Woodlands F.C's Stanton Denton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Austin Simon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. In the 74th minute, Tracey Thomason made a precise shot to the right of Austin Simon. Leclercville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. After 81 minutes, Roland Jean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leclercville and the Woodlands F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Leclercville getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Roland Jean hit a great ball. When Stanton Denton came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Woodlands F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stanton Denton couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Leclercville defense, Dewitt Jobin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Austin Simon. The Leclercville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Austin Simon should have stopped the shot. Dewitt Jobin might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Austin Simon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dewitt Jobin ran back to his position shaking his head. Dewitt Jobin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Austin Simon having to make a save. Austin Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewitt Jobin, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewitt Jobin in the 98th minute of play forced Leclercville's goalkeeper Austin Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Woodlands F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
