Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elvin Couturier kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Romeo Guillory was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gooderham the free kick. Marcus Paquet scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herb Ricard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tyson Proctor kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rupert Stein got free with Stephan L'Hiver in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herb Ricard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Bain's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Jerrod Brower hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 17 minutes, Nickolas Butts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gooderham and the Gem players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Gooderham got a freekick which was hit by Nickolas Butts. Stephan L'Hiver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvin Couturier, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Stephan L'Hiver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvin Couturier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nickolas Butts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Stephan L'Hiver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvin Couturier in the 26th minute of play forced Gem's goalkeeper Stephan L'Hiver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abraham Bain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvin Couturier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stephan L'Hiver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elvin Couturier's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Rupert Stein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Stephan L'Hiver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stephan L'Hiver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rupert Stein in the 48th minute. The Gooderham players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gem were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Paquet to make the kick off. Marcus Paquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herb Ricard having to interfere. Marcus Paquet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herb Ricard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gooderham's zone, Abraham Bain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herb Ricard came out of the goal and Abraham Bain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rupert Stein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan L'Hiver having to interfere. Elvin Couturier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Jerrod Brower hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gooderham's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jarvis Huston was slow to take the kick. During this time Gem's players had a chance to rest. Lothaire Stevenson thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Herb Ricard, a very annoying self made goal in the 97th minute which led to 0-3. The Gooderham supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gem's performance. The match ended with a win for Gem.
