Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marcus Paquet got the match started through his kick off. Stephan L'Hiver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tristan Waddell in the 3rd minute. Edgar Robillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan L'Hiver having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Edgar Robillard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Norbert Verreau fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shere's protests and gave Norbert Verreau a yellow card for diving instead. Shere's Buddy Lancaster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Bain in the 19th minute of play. Buddy Lancaster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Bain, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Edgar Robillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan L'Hiver having to interfere. Abraham Bain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Buddy Lancaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Stephan L'Hiver managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Shere's Tristan Waddell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tyson Proctor's late challenge caught a Shere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyson Proctor helped the player get up and apologised. Edgar Robillard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Stephan L'Hiver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tristan Waddell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Stephan L'Hiver when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dwight Mobley hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Tristan Waddell struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Stephan L'Hiver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Robillard made a kick off. Marcus Paquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sid Brault during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sid Brault hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Shere's Buddy Lancaster got control of the ball when Abraham Bain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Paquet was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Gem's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tristan Waddell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Stephan L'Hiver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buddy Lancaster didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Bain went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Tristan Waddell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Bériault hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Gem's Jarvis Huston broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 82ndth minute of the game Marcus Paquet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shere's Buddy Lancaster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Paquet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shere's Buddy Lancaster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Paquet in the 92nd minute of play. Marcus Paquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buddy Lancaster having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gem players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
