Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) Gem's Marcus Paquet started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miles Doherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan L'Hiver having to interfere. After 7 minutes of play, Gem's Abraham Bain made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anderson Hinton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barry Gour was extremely unlucky when he, in the 12th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Anderson Hinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Paquet in the 13th minute of the match. When Marcus Paquet came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Gem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Paquet couldn't finish the play. Abraham Bain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Anderson Hinton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Debec's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Paquet came free, but Anderson Hinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barry Gour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gem's zone, Miles Doherty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan L'Hiver came out of the goal and Miles Doherty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosendo Beauchamp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stephan L'Hiver. Gem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gem's Romeo Guillory got a free kick in the 44th minute.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barry Gour to strike the kick off in the second half. Stephan L'Hiver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miles Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 53rd play minutes Barry Gour shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Stephan L'Hiver and just under the crossbar into goal. Gem's Stephan L'Hiver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Gour in the 59th minute of play. Stephan L'Hiver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miles Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Debec's Anderson Hinton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Paquet in the 64th minute of play. Anderson Hinton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Paquet went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Gem's Abraham Bain got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Marcus Paquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Debec's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Paquet came free, but Anderson Hinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gem's Marcus Paquet in the 92nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Anderson Hinton was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Debec through an amazing save. Miles Doherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Stephan L'Hiver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gem walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
