Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edgar Robillard took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Sid Brault hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buddy Lancaster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Cooper in the 3rd minute. Lucius Montano came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Shere's Tristan Waddell. But to his dismay, Tristan Waddell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Shere's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Long Erickson scored to the left of an out of position Buddy Lancaster, making the score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Long Erickson in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Buddy Lancaster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th match minute, Thornhill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammed Shipp to maneuver through the defense. Norbert Verreau charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norbert Verreau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raphaël Mosher during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34thth minute of the game Edgar Robillard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thornhill AFC's Lucius Montano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norbert Verreau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lucius Montano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Long Erickson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buddy Lancaster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Mohammed Shipp's late challenge caught a Shere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohammed Shipp helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Shere booed when Thornhill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammed Shipp didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tristan Waddell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Long Erickson made the kick off in the second half. When Fred Hickman fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shere's protests and gave Fred Hickman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Fred Hickman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ken Blackwell struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Buddy Lancaster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thornhill AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Long Erickson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thornhill AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Long Erickson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buddy Lancaster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andres Cooper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Thornhill AFC's Lucius Montano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Thornhill AFC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Thornhill AFC's Lucius Montano got control of the ball when Tristan Waddell tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Long Erickson in the 91st minute of play forced Shere's goalkeeper Buddy Lancaster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Cooper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buddy Lancaster having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
