In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schuler's goalkeeper Tyrell Murillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Schuler was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Watson to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Schuler's goalkeeper Tyrell Murillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Dominguez. Joseph Devine's late challenge caught a Schuler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob Heard had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Wayne Thomson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jacob Heard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schuler. Jacob Heard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Rudd, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddy Rudd was the one to do the kick off. Jacob Heard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Rudd in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Dorion AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rueben Chadwick fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Emanuel Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrell Murillo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dorion AFC's zone, Rueben Chadwick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Heard came out of the goal and Rueben Chadwick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Emanuel Dominguez notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Schuler's Tyrell Murillo. Tyrell Murillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Emanuel Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dorion AFC's Jacob Heard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Rudd in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Schuler eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
