An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Parks in the 3rd minute of play forced Aklavika FC's goalkeeper Rashad Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enoch Cottrell kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Jarvis Herron put in a rough tackle. In the 11th minute, one of Aklavika FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aklavika FC. Deon Lamour shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Bert Parks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rashad Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Louis Arnold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elvis Lafontaine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Louis Arnold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 28 minutes, Enoch Cottrell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aklavika FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enoch Cottrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Louis Arnold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Louis Arnold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvis Lafontaine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Marin Ochoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashad Rubio having to interfere. Marin Ochoa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Rashad Rubio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marin Ochoa kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 36thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Aklavika FC's keeper Rashad Rubio was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Qausuittuq AFC's Bert Parks in the 42nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rashad Rubio was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Aklavika FC through an amazing save. In the 46th minute Bert Parks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rashad Rubio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rashad Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Ochoa in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Aklavika FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The corner ended in Lazaro Boisclair almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Aklavika FC's Rashad Rubio did a great save. If Louis Arnold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bert Parks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rashad Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bert Parks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashad Rubio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Aklavika FC's Enoch Cottrell got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Bert Parks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aklavika FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
